Memorial Mass

On Memorial Day, Monday May 30th, I will celebrate a Memorial Mass for the three members of our family who died this past year—Uncle Bob, Aunt Betty Jane, and Tim. The Mass will be at St. John’s Church in Plaza Square downtown, the same Church where we had the Memorial Mass for Aunt Peggy Brennan last year. The Mass will be at 9:00 AM, followed by coffee and donuts in the parish hall. The entrance to the parking lot for St. John’s is on Pine St. If you are able to come, could you please let me know so I can make a reasonable guess at how many donuts to get? Hope to see as many as possible that morning.

Timothy

Timothy Patrick Brennan died Monday, March 21, 2011 at the age of 61, surrounded by his family.

Loving husband of 39 years to Janice; dear father of Sarah Brennan, Kerry (Arielle) Brennan, Rory Brennan; dear grandfather of Padraig Isagani Brennan; beloved son of the late Jack and Peggy Brennan; beloved brother of Barb (Jack) Basile, Missey (Tom) Wilhelm, Patty Patch, Mike (Lisa) Brennan, Jack Brennan, Marty (Desi) Brennan, Mary (Scott) Loew, Anne (Doug) Brewer, Matt (Lucy) Brennan; beloved uncle of 15, dear cousin, brother-in-law, nephew, and friend to everyone who knew him.

Tim was a RNFA for the St. Louis Heart Institute for 23 years, and thoroughly enjoyed his work. Special thanks to Dr. Gordon Knight, for their long partnership and his care and concern for Tim and his family.

Tim loved fly-fishing on the Current and the Yellowstone rivers, and deep sea fishing trips with his boys in the Gulf of Mexico; he loved music and was an avid guitarist. He loved to cook and barbeque for family and friends. He was proud of the renovation of his home, officially recognized by the Landmark Commission of the City of Kirkwood as the “Brennan Residence, 1915”.

Funeral Mass was Thursday, March 24, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Kirkwood.

The family plans a memorial service when Fr. Larry is home in May, with internment at Jefferson Barracks.

Brian J Brennan Sr. Health Update

Greetings to all,
I want to Thank You for all of the thoughts and prayers bestowed upon me. By the grace of God and the help of doctors, family and friends I am Cancer Free and healthy today. I am back to work fulltime, currently working mainly from home due to the cold weather. The only side effect I still have is a slight nueropothy, tingling in my hands and feet and I'm a freezy cat now. This should be a temporary condition. I'll update again after my set of DR.'s appointments.

Love to All,
Brian :-)

Official snow count 17 inches in Columbia. My garage is waaaaaay back there, about 100 yards. Gary and I walk it so the guys who plow know where to go. I wasn't sure I could make it back! MU was off for 3 days, historic!
My Husband is 6 feet 3 inches tall and he's standing in our driveway behind a 4.5 foot drift. All the snow was blowing from our backyard, over the house and into the driveway. Not fun! Our backyard in Walworth WI had 2 feet of snow.

Big snow of 2/1/2011

It started snowing at 6:30am in Columbia. We are up to about 5-6 inches at 11:30. It has drifted quite a bit from the winds. This shot was taken with me sitting on the floor looking out the front door.

More Sad News

Betty Jane Brennan (c. 1990), R.I.P.

From Cousin Carol Newton:

I just wanted you to know that our mom passed away yesterday. She went peacefully. We have yet to put an obituary in the paper--will take care of that soon. We meet with the funeral home tomorrow. She is being cremated. The plan so far is to have her interment in the spring and perhaps a memorial service then too. Although we have expected this for some time, it is still a shock when it finally happens. It really has been a bad winter for deaths. My mom's cousin Frank passed just last week leaving mom's sister Gloria as the only member left of their family. Please keep us in your prayers.

Love, Carol
